Marten Pinnecoose
Tune in 9:00 to 11:00 on Fridays to hear Marten Pinnecoose. He is a Jr. in the BFA program with a sculptural emphasis.
He is a non-traditional Native American student from Ignacio, CO and is an enrolled member of the Southern Ute tribe on his father's side. He is also from the Jicarilla Apache and Navajo tribes from my mother's side. He enjoys most outdoor activities, such as hunting, archery, bike riding and has recently discovered ice-climbing!
He has 3 children, Sherryl a dispatcher with the So. Ute tribal police, Brent stationed in Ft. Riley, KS. and recently completed one year in Iraq as a helicopter mechanic and Robin a Jr. at Durango H.S.
Marten has been a DJ for 5 years on a part-time basis with KSUT, a tribally-owned radio station back home and two terms with KDUR of Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO.

Type of Music Played During Show
Especially Native contemporary/traditional music, rock, reggae, R&B, old school funk and soul.
